Welcome!

TECO is North America's value-added, truly independent third-party certification agency for building products. We certify all types of structural and non-structural panel products including: OSB, plywood, particleboard, and MDF panels manufactured throughout North, Central, and South America, as well as Europe. In addition to panel products we inspect and test deck and guard-rail components as well as many other building product types requiring ICC-ES code report inspections. We test a wide array of other products, including structural wood adhesives and formaldehyde emissions of panel products. Since 1933, TECO's name has represented quality and innovation in the wood products industry.

Headquartered in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, TECO operates state-of-the-art test laboratories in Eugene, Oregon, and Shreveport, Louisiana, equipped to test a full range of engineered wood products and adhesives. TECO supports its global presence with international representatives in Japan and Brazil; and since 1993, has been recognized by the Japanese government to apply the JAS certification mark to structural wood products manufactured for export into Japan. The TECO TESTED^® certification mark is recognized worldwide as a symbol of product and code compliance. Its presence on wood products gives manufacturers instant market recognition, while assuring architects, engineers and builders that the products they design and use for building have met both TECO's and regulatory agencies' requirements for proven performance.

Since TECO is not an association, we have the flexibility to customize programs to meet the manufacturer's specific needs. One of our unique certification programs even includes a full-time TECO technician in the mill to complement a manufacturer's in-house quality assurance team.
