TECO-Mater Shear Test Machine

Description

The TECO-Mater Shear Machine is a compact, rugged machine specifically developed for rapid, accurate testing of plywood samples in accordance with PS-1. The machine can be used both for in-plant routine testing and plywood research applications.

Specifications

Precision Engineered: The machine features a simple, fundamental design with few parts to wear. Flow control is adjustable to provide a wide range of load rates. A slight motion of the control lever closes the grip and activates the airflow through the pneumatic loading unit.
Simple, Fast Loading: The specimen stop adjusts automatically to the correct position. There are no clamps to tighten - Simply insert the test specimen and push the control lever.
Accurate: The machine's precise control and custom specimen grips ensure highly accurate test results.
Variable Load Rate: A flow control valve permits the adjustment of load rate to meet the requirements of PS-1 and other applicable wood product standards.
Compact: The entire machine measures 24" x 18" x 12", is table-mounted, and portable.
Versatile: Two specially designed pistons grip the test specimens. The machine can be used to test hardwood plywood, softwood plywood, LVL, etc...
