QL-2 : Concentrated Load and Impact Panel Testing Machine

Description

The TECO QL-2 Panel Performance Tester is a fully automated, computer-controlled machine designed to perform testing which is consistent with PS 2-92 concentrated static, impact load, and deflection test requirements. The QL-2 is equipped with a "floating bed" that facilitates impact testing. The QL-2 tests panels for:

Concentrated load and deflection
Ultimate (failure) load
Impact load
Edge-supported configurations

The QL-2 can test panels from 1/4 inch to 1-1/8 inch in thickness. The test spans that can be accommodated include 16, 20, 24, 32, 40, and 48 inches.

All the features of the QL-1, plus impact capability
Three 48-inch joist simulators to accomodate testing of full 4-foot by 8-foot panels
Three edge support extensions for testing tongue-and-groove (T&G) panels
Floating panel bed to ensure proper alignment between concentrated static load and impact load testing (eliminates operator intervention and guesswork)
Impact load arm with automated load release
Operating Manual contains operating instructions, maintenance recommendations, and a troubleshooting guide
